Families Helping Families of Louisiana is a group of families who, through our own experiences, are committed to reaching out to other families who have members with special needs and self-advocates.  The term "special needs" includes physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, and/or academic issues.

Within this website you can find various information on the statewide level, as well as links to information on all the Families Helping Families Resource Centers.

What Families Helping Families Centers provide

"Each center is staffed by parents of and individuals with disabilities, working together to serve and support each other and to build partnerships with the professionals who serve their families."

Louisiana has ten (10) regions with a Families Helping Families Resource Center in each region (Regions I and X are in the same center).   We are all over the state so families will have a center locally that understands the unique needs in their own community.
