What We Provide
Families Helping Families Resource Centers provides the following programs (NOTE: not all centers offer all of these programs; please check with the FHF center in your region to see if they provide these programs):
- Project PROMPT - Educational Laws, Rights, and Advocacy Workshops and Training as well as direct assistance.
- STAR (Support and Training to Access Rights) - Louisiana's Supported Employment Program which offers Support and Training to Access Rights for individuals with disabilities age 14 or older.
- Inclusive Education Family Project -Direct Assistance and Training to help achieve fully inclusive options in schools and community for people with special needs.
- Parent to Parent Support System - Matching parents with trained mentor parents for one on one support.
- Kids on the Block -Disability Awareness Puppet Troupe.
- Sibshops - Workshop activities for Siblings ages 8-13 of children with disabilities.
- Children Special Health Services Parent Liaison (exception: this is not provided in Region 5 by FHF).
- Louisiana Citizens for Action Now (LaCAN)
